Sandy McAnallen :: Textile Art Sandy first picked up a needle and thread at around five years old, inspired by her Aunt’s amazing sewn creations. By 6th grade she had discovered her grandmother’s old Kenmore sewing machine and used it to create aprons. By High School she was sewing most of her clothes, including her prom dress. She first made a Comfy Cozy Cottage for her daughter’s fourth birthday. Now, after retiring from 16 years teaching, she has finally found the time to sew simply for pleasure. It makes her very happy to create the Comfy Cozy Cottages and barns and the critters that live in and around them. Since she is a purse junkie, she also loves to put together colorful purses.
