Coronado jewelry designer Kate Purdy began designing jewelry as a jewelry and art major at the University of Illinois and went on to have a sucessful career as an award-winning graphic designer. After moving to Coronado Island in southern California, she came back to her "roots" and began actively designing and creating jewelry again.
Kate loves the challenge of alway finding a new twist to her jewelry design and creating something unique. She finds inspiration in the natural beauty and colors of the California beach and her extensive collection of antique jewelry. Kate is a published jewelry designer, with projects featured in Beadstyle Magazine, Beadstar Magazine, San Diego Home & Garden Magazine, Coronado Eagle Newspaper, Coronado Lifestyle Magazine and on the cover of the book, "The Best Projects from BeadStyle Magazine".
